Parameterized H∞ Controller Design for Adaptative Trade-off by Finite Dimensional Lmi Optimization

چکیده
We consider the design of a control law K(s, θ) such that a set of trade-offs parameterized by a scalar θ are satisfied for a given LTI system. The trade-off is formulated as an optimization problem involving a weighted H∞ norm. Matrices of the state space representation of K(s, θ) have to be obtained as explicit functions of θ. This problem, close to the LPV control design, can be naturally formulated as a convex but infinite dimensional optimization problem. The contribution of this paper is to propose design methods based on finite dimensional LMI optimization problem, avoiding the “naive” gridding approach.

Parameter Dependent H∞ Controller Design by Finite Dimensional Lmi Optimization: Application to Trade-off Dependent Control
The design of a parameter dependent H∞ controller for a parameter dependent plant is considered. A solution can be proposed as a parameter dependent LMI optimization problem, that is, an infinite dimensional problem. In the case of rational dependence, an approach is proposed involving an optimization problem over parameter independent LMI constraints (which is finite dimensional). The obtained...
متن کاملDesign of H Congestion Controller for TCP Networks Based on LMI Formulation
In this paper, a state feedback H¥ controller is proposed in order to design an active queue management (AQM) system based on congestion control algorithm for networks supporting TCP protocols. In this approach, the available link bandwidth is modeled as a time-variant disturbance. The purpose of this paper is to design a controller which is capable of achieving the queue size and can guarantee...
متن کاملFilter Design for Feedback-loop Trade-off of L_1 Adaptive Controller: A Linear Matrix Inequality Approach
This paper presents a convex optimization method for the feedback-loop tradeoff of L1 adaptive controller. Both problems of performance improvement and time-delay margin maximization are shown to be cast into Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) type conditions. First, each of these conditions is studied separately towards a distinct objective, and next two similar LMI algorithms are proposed for opt...
متن کاملMultiobjective H 2 =h 1 -optimal Control via Finite Dimensional Q-parametrization and Linear Matrix Inequalities
The problem of multiobjective H2=H1 optimal controller design is reviewed. There is as yet no exact solution to this problem. We present a method based on that proposed by Scherer 14]. The problem is formulated as a convex semidef-inite program (SDP) using the LMI formulation of the H2 and H1 norms. Suboptimal solutions are computed using-nite dimensional Q-parametrization. The objective value ...
متن کاملDynamic Output Feedback Controller Design for a Class of Uncertain Neutral Systems with Input Delay1
In this paper, a design problem of dynamic output feedback controller for asymptotic stabilization of a class of uncertain neutral systems with input delay has been investigated. A criterion for the existence of such controllers is derived based on the LMI (linear matrix inequality) approach combined with the Lyapunov method. A parameterized characterization of the controllers is given in terms...
